Ok so I thought it was time for another journal, especially now that I can take advantage of skin profiles. So almost another year had past and I have completed one more associates and almost finished a 3rd (I'll be done with that in May). I've also completed a 3 month internship which I love and miss and hope I get a call back from saying they can now afford to hire me. Let's say I'm not holding my breath on that dream. So now I'm doing the job hunting thing, which can be quite hard here in Michigan. I'm back with the steampunk convention in Dearborn (World Steam Expo), I'm officially co-chair to the Dealers Room and I'm looking forward to w

Hey, I'm new and I was wondering how to commission something? And do you take commissions?

There is this site called Adagio Teas, and you can make your own fandom blends. I'm making some Tortall themed fandom blends, 9 in total. I have the blends picked out, the names and write ups done. And I love your tortall art, and I was wondering if I could commission you to make the labels for me?

It doesn't say on the site what size they have to be, but here are some examples from the site that I like:

Tea for Travelers & The Tea That Shall Not Be Named by www.adagio.com/signature_blend…

GrimmTea & Magic Potions by www.adagio.com/signature_blend…

All of www.adagio.com/signature_blend…

I would need the Names of each tea and the write ups for each tea on the labels. Anyways, if you're interested let me know how much it would cost to commission, and if you're not could you recommend someone that could do it? If you say yes I can email you the tea names and write ups.

Thanks for thinking about it,
Hollie
Hey Hollie,

I'm sorry I didn't back to you right away. It's it always nice to get a positive response to my art. I haven't done a lot of commission in the past, not that I'm not open to the idea it just my everyday life doesn't allow for a lot of time for extra projects. I work two jobs (one full time, one part time) so I don't even get a lot of time to work on my own ideas. But thank you for asking and I wish you luck in your own project. If you haven't found someone already let me know and I might be able to suggestion a couple other artist. Most artists who offer commissions will have a post their site (DA, facebook, tumbler etc) that lists out what they do, how much and how to go about requesting commissions.

So keep looking for artist and again good luck! Your Tortall Tea collection sounds like a lot of fun so I hope it turns out they way you want it too!

Best wishes!
Leah
How after all these months in the Tortall Comics Project did I never notice you are a fellow Michigander? It wasn't until I saw the Youmacon art that I figured it out, are you going this year too?
Yup, I'm one of the staff for the Video Programming and I'm also working on the scavenger hunt card artwork again this year. Will you be there this year?
I shall. I'm an officer of UM-Dearborn's Anime Club too, so of course I'll be there. Now if only I could coax the guys into going as a club, stubborn knuckleheads that they are.
Well I hope you were able to convince them. It really is easier and cheaper to go with a group, I use to do it that way when I was in college.

We should post something on Tortall Project community and see if there will be any other people going to Youmacon and maybe plan a meet up.
